Applying the MAS-CommonKADS Methodology to the Flights Reservation Problem: Integrating Coordination and Expertise

چکیده
This paper applies the MAS – CommonKADS methodology to the flights reservation problem. We develop each model included in this methodology, illustrating the complete development of both the coordination and expertise models. We incorporate UML activity diagrams in the task model and use sequence diagrams to model communication between agents (human and software) and to detail the participation of each agent. We illustrate the implementation of the system using AGLETS, an agent building tool, and emphasize its integration with JESS, the Java Expert System Shell.

Analysis and Design of Multiagent Systems Using MAS-Common KADS
This article proposes an agent-oriented methodology called MAS-CommonKADS and develops a case study. This methodology extends the knowledge engineering methodology CommonKADS with techniquesfrom objectoriented and protocol engineering methodologies. The methodology consists of the development of seven models: Agent Model, that describes the characteristics of each agent; Task Model, that descri...
متن کاملModeling an Agent Mediated Supply Chain Management System Using MAS-CommonKADS methodology
Supply chain is a worldwide network of suppliers, factories, warehouses, distribution centers, and retailers through which raw materials are acquired, transformed, and delivered to customers. In recent years, new software architecture for managing the supply chain at the tactical and operational levels has emerged. It views the supply chain as composed of a set of intelligent software agents, e...
متن کاملOntoKADS: a core ontology for developing expertise models for the CommonKADS methodology
The project that we are carrying out aims at defining an ontological approach to elaborating expertise models for the CommonKADS methodology. The approach relies on a core ontology (OntoKADS) which distinguishes two levels of conceptualization. At an “object level”, OntoKADS offers a set of concepts enabling definition of classes of problem-solving situations. At a “meta level”, OntoKADS offers...
متن کاملChapter III The Agent - Oriented Methodology
This chapter introduces the main concepts of the methodology MASCommonKADS that extends object-oriented and knowledge engineering techniques for the conceptualisation of multi-agent systems. MASCommonKADS defines a set of models (Agent Model, Task Model, Expertise Model, Coordination Model, Communication Model, Organisation Model, and Design Model) that together provide a model of the problem t...
متن کاملA Methodology to Specify Multiagent Systems
In this paper we present a methodology to specify Multiagent Systems, called MASINA. MASINA is based on MAS-CommonKADS; we use the models presented in this methodology to propose some extensions, modifications and substitutions allowing to describe the intelligent characteristics of an agent or group of agents, to use intelligent techniques for the accomplishment of tasks (e.g. artificial neura...
